Catherine M. Bowers, Managing Partner
Catherine was born and raised in the Jersey Shore town of Point Pleasant, where her working-class parents stressed the importance of education. An avid horse enthusiast since childhood, Catherine competed in hunter/jumper shows from the short stirrup through the mini Maclay divisions. She competed in Intercollegiate Horse Show Association events as a member of the Rutgers University and University of Virginia riding teams, representing her alma mater at the Affiliated National Riding Commission and receiving the regional High Point Rider award.
Catherine received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia and her Juris Doctor degree from the George Washington University National Law Center. During the summer months of her law school years, Catherine clerked for firms in the bluegrass country of Lexington, Kentucky. After graduating from law school, Catherine returned to Virginia and began her career as a family law attorney with Duvall, Harrigan, Hale & Hassan in Fairfax. She relocated to Warrenton in 1998 and joined the firm of Walker Jones, PC, becoming partner. After eighteen years with Walker Jones, Catherine decided to open her own practice in 2018 with an emphasis on family law and mediation. She is pleased to have her legal assistant of fourteen years, Pam Pixley, at the firm.
Catherine is licensed to practice law in Virginia, Kentucky and the District of Columbia. She received the Martindale Hubble Client Distinction Award (2013 & 2015) and has been named a Top Lawyer by peer review in the Northern Virginia Magazine (2012, 2014, 2015 & 2016). She received an Award of Merit from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (2001) for her work in reunifying a parent and child in an international child abduction case. Catherine has been a foster parent since 2001 and founded a non-profit organization, “Sparrows Rest,” providing equine assisted growth and learning opportunities to foster and at-risk youth in the community.
Catherine is a past president of the Fauquier County Bar Association and Piedmont Dispute Resolution Center, and is an Allied Attorney with the Alliance Defending Freedom. She serves as a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem for children whose parents are involved in custody disputes or are facing abuse and neglect allegations. Catherine is an equestrian and resides on a farm with her menagerie of dogs, barn cats, horses, pony, miniature horse and donkeys, goats, sheep, potbelly pigs and chickens.

Frankie the Corgi (aka Dell-Mar's Chairman of the Board)
Frankie is our firm’s Chairman of the Board and has a dedicated social media following. This four-legged friend and informal hospitality coordinator is a local favorite in Old Town Warrenton. Clients enjoy interacting with him and he can be a soothing friend during difficult situations.
As a member of the Herding Class, he can multi-task many tennis balls at once and enjoys playing fetch on a regular basis. Frankie would like to share that his favorite vet thinks that by petting him, you can actually lower your blood pressure.
He enjoys the farm life after a hard day of making sure everything runs smoothly at the office. His siblings include two horses, one pony, one mini horse, four goats and a sheep, two potbelly pigs, two donkeys, and a few dogs and cats. Find Frankie on Facebook @frankiethecorgi.
